Social media, film, branding: The Weave Snishoo album
Working with the band I was able to utilise the talents of bandleader Martin Smth and write a script based on a car salesman character called; Tex Smith! The concept was to sell the sophisicated jazz music with all the care and attention of hocking a dodgy automobile. We shot on location near the venue, St Michaels in the Hamlet in Liverpool, using both the beautiful church frontage and a nearby carpark to mock-up the car lot. The reel was a great success with Tex Smith play

Photography: Velma Von Bon Bon, Burlesque performer
My neighbors' windows twitch because Velma von Bon Bon is a burlesque performer who lives on my street. When not peeking through the net curtains, my other neighbors are leading their mundane lives; they may be ironing their office shirts or hoovering quavers from their Hyundais, but meanwhile, there is a hive of activity coming from next door. Gemma is a performer and puppet-maker par excellence. We've often heard her practicing acrobatics and have even spotted her perfectin

Photography: Sisters in the broccoli fields
Last February, we drove out to farmers’ fields in the rain — myself, my long-time collaborator Liv Hejenkowska from Poland, and her sister Vicky. We used real props. Real people held a grubby ladder, and we took the pictures with a 2017 DSLR. I can utilise AI — I’m a graphic designer with years of experience. I might use some tools to select or retouch small portions of an image, but AI isn’t and never will be a photograph . It has no heart, no soul. Light hasn’t traveled thr

Design: Pentaxians Club. Pentaxians tribute poster for Pentax cameras
I do love Pentax cameras but I have jumped ship to also a more a brand with technologically more advanced system. Some time back I designed this poster to express my appreciation, not only for their history and craftsmanship but for the years of experince and joy I've had using them. I got some fine shots and continue to use my Pentax KP from 2017. My poster was then adapted to be sold as a charity fund-raising t-shirt for one of the greatest Facebook groups that has ever ex

Branding, Photography, Wix website: NBIL
New Beginnings Improving Lives is a CIC that works with people across the Liverpool region, providing help, support, and pro-mental health positive classes. As well as working with them on most aspects of their branding, I created this Wix website design and build. The initial branding was delivered in a day so I decided to refine it later on to this. The website included the sub-branding of their boxing programme "Box Well," where I utilized the double meaning of the word 'w

Design: Fusion Christmas Gift packaging
The Brief: This packaging commission was for a cosmetics company and one of their product lines: "Fusion". The brief was simple: a packaging design to present a selection of skincare products for the Christmas gift season. The approach: The Fusion logo gave me a lead here. It's a font that reminds me of great poster artists like A. M. Cassandre: a master working in the period either side of the Second World War. He designed the original Yves Saint Laurent logo, and his work e

Branding, Design: Logo design Zing Tours
I was approached by James to help brand his tour company, Zing Tours. Firstly, what an interesting commission. Zing organizes and implements tours across the UK but also in our hometown of Liverpool. I sometimes find that a company can approach me for branding work and sometimes bring with them a lackluster company name or a shyness to make an exciting brand. Well, "Zing" didn't bring that particular challenge to me and instead brought a name that is snappy and reminiscent of
