There's a special place in my heart for logo design. Logos are powerful – and with so many years scribbling deep in a sketchbook, and then vectoring for dear life on Adobe Illustrator artboards, I can honestly say that logo design is the most useful service I can provide. My long-standing client, Keibra, launched a new branding project to create a logo for his team's new service, Key One Developments. The team consists of software developers. This logo will be used by the team to develop their own branding materials, including a website. A crucial part of the project involved working closely with the team, which mainly comprises young members from an apprenticeship support program, to delve into the different aspects of logo design.

This was an interesting brief and an exercise in helping write the brief with the client. A new and exciting space was opening locally, and they would be catering to parents and their toddlers during the day, with a view to later develop the kitchen into a take-away and cool performance venue.

Working with the band I was able to utilise the talents of bandleader Martin Smth and write a script based on a car salesman character called; Tex Smith! The concept was to sell the sophisicated jazz music with all the care and attention of hocking a dodgy automobile. We shot on location near the venue, St Michaels in the Hamlet in Liverpool, using both the beautiful church frontage and a nearby carpark to mock-up the car lot. New Beginnings Improving Lives is a CIC that works with people across the Liverpool region, providing help, support, and pro-mental health positive classes. As well as working with them on most aspects of their branding, I created this Wix website design and build. The initial branding was delivered in a day so I decided to refine it later on to this.
