Design: Pentaxians Club. Pentaxians tribute poster for Pentax cameras
I do love Pentax cameras but I have jumped ship to also a more a brand with technologically more advanced system. Some time back I designed this poster to express my appreciation, not only for their history and craftsmanship but for the years of experince and joy I've had using them. I got some fine shots and continue to use my Pentax KP from 2017. My poster was then adapted to be sold as a charity fund-raising t-shirt for one of the greatest Facebook groups that has ever ex

Design: Fusion Christmas Gift packaging
The Brief: This packaging commission was for a cosmetics company and one of their product lines: "Fusion". The brief was simple: a packaging design to present a selection of skincare products for the Christmas gift season. The approach: The Fusion logo gave me a lead here. It's a font that reminds me of great poster artists like A. M. Cassandre: a master working in the period either side of the Second World War. He designed the original Yves Saint Laurent logo, and his work e

MJ Quinn exhibition design
Another IHEEM Event exhibition design completed for the team at MJ Quinn. How did we get from A to B, the A being their existing marketing materials to B, this completed and constructed design? Some time back, the team at MJ Quinn Energy had commissioned a piece of illustration to represent their commitment to green energy. With this being established and well-used, this would enable me to take a fresh direction but keep the stronger elements. So, using the 2D style of the il

Design: Exhibition a2 hand-out. Graphic Design leaflet for MJ Quinn
A map takes you places. Graphic Design leaflet for MJ Quin n Another IHEEM exhibition design completed for the team at MJ Quinn. Presented here is the design for an A6 fold, map-style handout. The decision to create a piece of print that is interactive (in a real-world sense) was intended to add a sense of drama to the interactions between the client and potential buyers. A map takes you places, and this map shows some of the scope that this company covers. As well as helping

Branding, Design: Logo design Zing Tours
I was approached by James to help brand his tour company, Zing Tours. Firstly, what an interesting commission. Zing organizes and implements tours across the UK but also in our hometown of Liverpool. I sometimes find that a company can approach me for branding work and sometimes bring with them a lackluster company name or a shyness to make an exciting brand. Well, "Zing" didn't bring that particular challenge to me and instead brought a name that is snappy and reminiscent of

Exhibition design and branding: QE Solutions Spaceman concept
Creating the Cooling Concept I was commissioned by QE Solutions, which is part of MJ Quinn, to design an exhibition stand and marketing materials for an event to be held in London. QE creates technological systems that cool data centers, thus ensuring safety for massive datasets. I equated this valuable data to the life of an astronaut—the human being inside the suit cannot become too hot or too cold within the suit, and thus the need for a state-of-the-art technological marv
