Sometimes, whilst looking for something else, you find an old piece of work, and on this occasion, I found something rather cold and Italian. I'm slowly building my portfolio here, and there are a few pieces from my time freelancing at Iceland Foods that I think hold up. Though I'll maintain that my original designs were better, this is what was passed through and was sold for many years.

October came and the IHEEM exhibit for suppliers to the NHS was another opportunity for the team at MJ Quinn to present their services to the men and women who run our hallowed health service. Once again I handled exhibition graphics and handouts design.

My long-standing client, Keibra, launched a new branding project to create a logo for his team's new service, Key One Developments. The team consists of software developers. This logo will be used by the team to develop their own branding materials, including a website. A crucial part of the project involved working closely with the team, which mainly comprises young members from an apprenticeship support program, to delve into the different aspects of logo design.

For the team at MJ Quinn, I produced another exhibition stand and handout leaflet for the QE Solutions data cooling brand. I utilized the core concept I created a few years back of the astronaut and his high-tech suit that represents the cooling technology of the product. The emphasis is on the value of storing information safely - the data is precious, like the life of the astronaut. The show was a great success by all accounts, and my stand design was called by Stephen Port

This was an interesting brief and an exercise in helping write the brief with the client. A new and exciting space was opening locally, and they would be catering to parents and their toddlers during the day, with a view to later develop the kitchen into a take-away and cool performance venue.
